The ‘Mast Hai. Apun Ko Bhi Karne Ka Hai‘ meme originates from the 2003 Bollywood movie Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. In medical college hostel, Murli Prasad Sharma (the character played by Sanjay Dutt) sees ragging going on in the college and is intrigued by it. While watching his fellow batchmates giving their introductions, Munna says to his seniors, “Aye! Esko ragging bolte hain kya? Mast hai yaar. Mai bhi karun kya?” The spread of the meme started on the social network Instagram in September 2020 when many pages started using the meme. The popular use of Apun Ko Bhi Karne Ka Hai meme is to mock an act done by people in a humorous fashion.
