The origin of the ‘Dil Se Bura Lagta Hai’ Meme dates back to 2019 when Filter Copy’s Facebook account shared a meme video on 2nd April. A couple of months later, a youtube account posted the full video of the boy on July 3, 2019. Since then a lot of YouTubers and meme pages have used the clip. The name of Dil Se Bura Lagta hai kid is Dev Raj Patel (also called Deva Patel). He is a student from Korba, Chhattisgarh. According to Deva in this interview, he was frustrated by negative comments and messages he received on his Vigo Video account for his videos and thus created this video.
