The Ye Toh Ache Log Hain meme originates from the 2009 Bollywood movie Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. In the movie, Jenny (the character played by Katrina Kaif) says this line to Police Inspector (the character played by Rana Jung Bahadur) regarding the Happy Club members. In the screenshot which later turned to a meme, she says, “Ye Toh Ache Ladke Hain” when she was asked about the whereabouts of kidnappers of the police inspector’s wife.
