Ramadan and Eid Ramadan is a special time in the Islamic calendar since Islam is the world’s second-largest religion with 1.8 billion followers around the globe. Ramadan is a month in Islam when people from all around the world fast for a whole month. Of course, having no food or water for the whole month is impossible so they have a meal before dawn i.e., suhoor so that they can be ready to fast, and then after a long day of fasting they share an evening meal which is called Iftar. At the end of Ramadan, there is a great festival called Eid-ul-Fitr to celebrate the end of fasts. Today, we will be sharing some of the funniest Eid Memes submitted to us by our Muslim community.
Eid-Al-Fitr basically means “feast of breaking the fast.” The two to three days of Eid al-Fitr celebrations are held that include the special morning prayers. People exchange formal embraces and say “Eid Mubarak,” which means “Blessed Eid.” At home, sweet meals are made and gifts are offered to children and others in need. Muslims are also urged to forgive and ask for forgiveness. Practices differ from one country to the next. Before the Eid prayer, Muslims give Zakat to the poor and needy because they think that it will purify, increase, and will bless the remainder of their wealth.
