The Ye PUBG Wala Hai Kya meme originates from the 2019 Pariksha Pe Charcha 2.0. It is an event organised every year where the PM of India interacts with several students, parents and teachers. In the event dated 29 January 2019 in New Delhi, one of the parents asked the PM to guide her regarding the growing addiction of her child’s addiction to online gaming. To this, the PM replied, “Ye PUBG Waala Hai Kya?” The reaction of PM garnered huge applause from the students gathered in the event. The viral video soon turned into a meme is popularly used to ask any rhetorical question which aims to provoke thought rather than to provide answers.
